Livin’ That Coconut Life!

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, and since everyone is going to be drinking the darkest brews they can find this weekend we decided to bring back our imperial coconut porter “Coconut Life!” This robust porter has notes of dark chocolate and organic toasted coconut. We’ll have this beer available for growler fills and crowlers – take this decadent dessert home to share with friends and family!

03/13 Wednesday: Geeks who Drink + Tomski Sausage

Join us at 7pm for our weekly Geeks Who Drink Pub Quiz. Last week’s winning team was the “The USA Drinking Team” out of 20 competing teams, ending the “Round Earthers” winning streak with an intense Quiz battle. Come play along this week and see if your team can take home top honors and a spiffy new 1st place button! If you get hungry during Quiz, Tomski Sausage will be here with tasty tots and sausages for dinner.

Don’t forget – our Nintendo Theme Quiz is next Wednesday, March 20th! This is a special Quiz that requires pre-registration; visit the Geeks website to sign up. We’ll have a costume contest and a Nintendo tournament around the Quiz that will have their own Nintendo themed prizes to win. Tipsy Moon will also be here with Nintendo themed menu items – you won’t want to miss this epic event!

03/14 Thursday: New Beer Release: Coconut Life

Get your coconut fix and taste our newest imperial porter! It’s also Aerospace Industry Night – ask the bartender for your discount if you work in the field.

03/15 Friday: Return of Check Mate  + Tomski Sausage

Our sparkling ginger grapefruit ale with Guayakí Yerba Mate was such a hit last year that we’re bringing it back in time for spring – Check Maté is back!  The grapefruit and ginger combination in this beer brings out the floral qualities of the Yerba Mate tea leaves for a refreshing finish that you won’t want to miss. Sample this tasty brew today! If you’re looking for dinner options, Tomski Sausage will be back with their signature sausages and tots.

03/16 Saturday: N’owt but Stout Festival + Dia De San Patricio

We’re excited to be pouring alongside many of our fellow LA Brewers at Yorkshire Square Brewery for this weekend’s N’owt but Stout Festival! If you’re heading out to this fest to drink your fill of dark beer come say hello and see what we’ve brought for you to try.

Staying local? Then celebrate St. Paddy’s a day early at our Dia de San Patricio event! We’re putting our double dry Irish potato stout “Twice Baked and Mashed” through a randall of jalapeños for a spicy twist. The heat from the peppers balances against the red and golden potatoes for a flavor reminiscent of jalapeño kettle chips. Try this unique brew before it’s all gone – we only have a little available. Pair this tasty limited brew with your go-to dish from Familia Barrios; they’ll be here in the evening with their amazing Mexican cuisine.

Now Isn’t That Some Bullfeathers?

You may have been wondering where your favorite IPA CatBirD has been. We had to unfortunately stop making our favorite beer in its true form; this article from the Sacramento News Review has a more in-depth explanation as to why this has happened. We are extremely unhappy about these circumstances and think not being able to make one of our favorite beer recipes is “Bullfeathers“! In the meantime our latest IPA release selfishly brings back this very recipe, but this time around without the “special ingredient.” The flavor of this beer was built for a purpose and it’s so true to the original you’ll question if there’s really anything missing.

12/5 Wednesday: Geeks who Drink + Tomski Sausage

Join us at 7pm for our weekly Geeks Who Drink Pub Quiz. Our winning team last week was “Round Earthers” out of 24 competing teams. Come play along with us in the beautiful new Transplants event space and see if your team has what it takes to make it to 1st place! We’ll have Tomski Sausage back in the tasting room serving you tasty tots and sausages for dinner during Quiz.

The base beer, a Strong Ale, is intended as a blank canvas with the flavors and nuances of the barrels at the forefront. Blue: “The Blood is Love” (Pulchella Winery Syrah)

CatBirD: IPA with Hop Hash & Hemp CBD FAQ

CatBirD: IPA with Hop Hash & Hemp CBD FAQ

What is CatBirD? CatBirD is the latest IPA offering from Transplants Brewing Company, made with Hop Hash and Hemp CBD along with Summit, Columbus and Idaho 7 hops. Its name is also a reference to a local test aircraft.

What is Hop Hash? Hop hash is a byproduct of the hop pelletizing process, which is harvested from the buildup on the machinery. In this case, it is a mix of whatever hops were going through the pelletizing machine that day. Hop hash has a high concentration of both acids and oils and an intense hop flavor.

What is CBD? CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is one of the main chemical compounds in the cannabis plant. Scientific and clinical studies have demonstrated CBD’s neuroprotective and neurogenic effects and research has shown it acts as an effective anti-inflammatory supplement.

Please note that we make NO CLAIMS WHATSOEVER that CatBirD or CBD are intended to cure, help or treat ANY health condition.

Does it contain THC? CatBirD is made with an all-natural, 100% THC free product and safe for use by all customers. CBD does not affect physiological parameters (heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature), does not affect gastrointestinal transit and does not alter psychomotor or psychological functions.

Will it get me high? Unlike THC, CBD is completely nonpsychoactive. Don’t expect it to get you stoned; CBD is all about relaxation without intoxication and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC.

How much should I drink? 1oz of CatBirD contains approximately 0.625mg of CBD. If you have never tried CBD before, it is best to start with the smallest serving possible. CatBirD is currently available as a 4oz taster, an 8oz snifter or in a 16oz tulip.

The recommended daily serving for general usage is 4mg – 30mg. In multiple small studies of CBD safety in humans it has been suggested that it is well tolerated at servings of up to 1500 mg/day.

PLEASE ENJOY RESPONSIBLY!

CatBirD is lab tested and guaranteed THC free; click on the below lab reports to view them:
