CatBirD: IPA with Hop Hash & Hemp CBD FAQ

CatBirD: IPA with Hop Hash & Hemp CBD FAQ

What is CatBirD? CatBirD is the latest IPA offering from Transplants Brewing Company, made with Hop Hash and Hemp CBD along with Summit, Columbus and Idaho 7 hops. Its name is also a reference to a local test aircraft.

What is Hop Hash? Hop hash is a byproduct of the hop pelletizing process, which is harvested from the buildup on the machinery. In this case, it is a mix of whatever hops were going through the pelletizing machine that day. Hop hash has a high concentration of both acids and oils and an intense hop flavor.

What is CBD? CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is one of the main chemical compounds in the cannabis plant. Scientific and clinical studies have demonstrated CBD’s neuroprotective and neurogenic effects and research has shown it acts as an effective anti-inflammatory supplement.

Please note that we make NO CLAIMS WHATSOEVER that CatBirD or CBD are intended to cure, help or treat ANY health condition.

Does it contain THC? CatBirD is made with an all-natural, 100% THC free product and safe for use by all customers. CBD does not affect physiological parameters (heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature), does not affect gastrointestinal transit and does not alter psychomotor or psychological functions.

Will it get me high? Unlike THC, CBD is completely nonpsychoactive. Don’t expect it to get you stoned; CBD is all about relaxation without intoxication and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC.

How much should I drink? 1oz of CatBirD contains approximately 1mg of CBD. If you have never tried CBD before, it is best to start with the smallest serving possible. CatBirD is currently available as a 4oz taster, an 8oz snifter or in a 16oz tulip.

The recommended daily serving for general usage is 4mg – 30mg. In multiple small studies of CBD safety in humans it has been suggested that it is well tolerated at servings of up to 1500 mg/day.

PLEASE ENJOY RESPONSIBLY!

Time to Get Independent!

Get Independent!

LA Beer Week might be over, but the fun continues in the tasting room. It’s 4th of July weekend and also National Independents Week so this Friday it seems especially appropriate to be releasing our newest beer: The Independent, a crushable 6% IPA with El Dorado, Citra and Horizon hops.
In the wake of the increased multitude of brewery buyouts, it’s increasingly important for customers to know who they’re actually supporting with the beverage in their glass. Big beer uses these acquired brands to add confusion to the market and blend in with the small brewers who are putting a huge dent in their bottom line.

For this beer, we took the lead from our friends at Beachwood Brewing, in alignment with the goals and message of the LA Brewer’s Guild and The Brewer’s Association, and made a beer to honor and stand proud with our fellow breweries and industry peers who consistently work and stand for the small, the local, the true craft; The Independent.

Guess What?? We’re open on Tuesday July 4th!!

That’s right! We’ll be open 7/4 from 12pm-6pm, come grab a drink and then bring something back for your 4th of July BBQ while you watch the fireworks!
