Batch #100 Release: Guapo Libre, Double Filbert, & Open Late Sunday

Hello Fellow Transplants!

BATCH #100: GUAPO LIBRE RELEASE
Please join us Friday 5/26 for the release of our imperial version of El Mas Guapo we’re calling Guapo Libre! It’s 11% and also marks batch #100 for us. We can’t believe we’ve brewed that much beer in such a short amount of time. Thanks for helping drink all of it since we opened less than a year and a half ago!

Thank you to all of you for your patience in us being closed last Sunday for the wedding of Transplants Art Director @blsingleton and @kmortonart. We had a great time and wish them the best on their new union. We’re back to regular hours so please come and visit the tasting room this week!

5/24 Wednesday –  Join us for our weekly trivia night with Geeks Who Drink at 7pm, with Izzy’s Taco House here at 6pm. Last week’s first place winners were “The USA Drinking Team” with 27 teams total competing. We are still auditioning new quizmasters and we thank our sub April for filling in and helping with the search. The new quizmaster has some big shoes to fill!

5/25 Thursday –  It’s Aerospace Discount Night, so mention your employer to your bartender for a special discount.

5/26 Friday –  The Release of Batch #100: Guapo Libre, an IPA x3 with guava. It’s got more of all the things you already love about El Mas Guapo, and is surprisingly smooth at 11% ABV.  Big thanks to Johnny Hops for making this one with us too. Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 8pm.

5/27 Saturday – We’ll be putting on a limited amount of Double Filbert. Filbert heard about the Imperialized El Mas Guapo and doesn’t want to be upstaged. Come in and get it while it lasts! Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm for your dinner needs.

5/28 Sunday – IN HONOR OF MEMORIAL DAY WE ARE OPEN LATE TILL MIDNIGHT! We figured most of you have Monday off, so we’d stay open later so you can celebrate. We’re also infusing Filbert, our chocolate hazelnut brown ale through a randall of toasted coconut so you won’t wanna miss that!

5/29 Monday – Happy Memorial Day!! Open regular hours 4-11, come and spend your Monday evening in the tasting room. It’s also industry night, so ask your bartender for a special discount if you are in the food and beverage industry. Since it’s Memorial Day, we are extending the industry discount to all active and former military. Just show your beertender your military ID for the discount.

A Bigger, Badder Black Bayou Stout

Hello Fellow Transplants!

BLACK BAYOU IS BIGGER AND BADDER!
This Saturday 5/20 marks the debut of reformulated Black Bayou, now a Vanilla Coffee Cream Stout! This bigger, badder version, now 8.5% ABV, features coffee from local roasters Corvo Coffee and takes everything you already liked about this beer to another level. It’s smooth, full bodied, and super delicious!
 
TASTING ROOM CLOSED ON SUNDAY 5/21
The re-release of Black Bayou also commemorates this Sunday’s wedding of Transplants Art Director @blsingleton and @kmortonart. Please note that the tasting room will have a rare one-time closure this Suinday as we celebrate together. Please make sure to congratulate them both when you see them!
 
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA
Have you tried our collaboration beer with Bravery Brewing called Little China (A 6.5% witbier white chai tea from The Modern Tea Room, orange blossom honey and ginger), and Bravery’s version called Big Trouble (A 4.7% black witbier with the Modern Tea Room’s Black Chai Tea, honey, orange and ginger)? Make sure you buy a crowler of both beers at both breweries and then bring them home, mix them, take a picture and tag both @transplantsbrewing and @braverybrewing on social media and show us to claim a limited edition “Big Trouble – Little China” poster with amazing flippable art from @blsingleton

5/20 Saturday – The release of the new improved Black Bayou, now a vanilla coffee cream stout with locally roasted coffee from Corvo Coffee, Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm for your dinner needs.

5/21 Sunday –  CLOSED! Transplants Art Director @blsingleton and @kmortonart are getting married at the brewery so this Sunday, May 21st we will be closed to the public. Congratulations Brandon and Kim!! We encourage you to fill growlers and crowlers before Sunday so you’ll be set for the day. In fact, mention the wedding to your beertender and we’ll even give you $1 off your growler or crowlers fills.

Put Some Big Trouble in Little China

Hello Fellow Transplants!

This Friday we are very excited to be releasing our collaboration beer with Bravery Brewing called Little China. It’s a 6.5% witbier white chai tea from The Modern Tea Room, orange blossom honey and ginger. Bravery will also be releasing their side of the collab at their brewery called Big Trouble, a black witbier with the Modern Tea Room’s Black Chai Tea, honey, orange and ginger. These beers are amazing alone but are also intended to be combined: yes, you need to put some Big Trouble in Little China! As a special promo, we encourage you buy a crowler of both beers at both breweries and then bring them home, mix them, take a picture and tag both @transplantsbrewing and @braverybrewing on social media and show us to claim a limited edition “Big Trouble – Little China” poster with amazing flippable art from @blsingleton

4/29 Saturday -We’re pouring at the LA Weekly Burgers & Beer event today so if you are going stop in at our booth and say hi! It’s a great event since you get tasty food and beer! In the tasting room we’ll be infusing our beer Nasty Woman though a randall of fresh lemon peels for a fresh burst of citrus.  Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

Vagabond Cheese Beer Pairing & Peep Show for Easter

This time the beers in the flight are Nasty Woman lemon pink peppercorn Saison, Albino Koala White IPA with eucalyptus, Peep Show chocolate marshmallow stout, and El Mas Guapo IPA with guava. Oh yeah, did we mention? El Mas Guapo returns after a brief hiatus!

4/15 Saturday – Come and all day Saturday and Sunday for $1 off all pints and $2 off all growler & crowler fills of Peep Show, our chocolate stout with marshmallow chicks.  Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

4/16 Sunday –  Happy Easter! We’re open regular hours, 12-9. Come in and bring the family, or stop in and relax after your holiday gathering. And don’t forget our discount on Peep Show! It’s the perfect Easter beverage.

Nasty Woman Saison Beer Release & VR Demo Day

Brewed by our woman co-brewer and a bunch of helpful woman volunteers. It’s also Aerospace Discount Night, so mention your employer to your bartender for a special discount.

4/7 Friday –  We’ll be infusing our beer Guanabana Iguana though a randall of fresh strawberries and pineapple for a delightful fruity treat perfect for warm spring day. Our artist BL Singleton is also part of an art show in Long Beach so if you are going to be in that area please come check out his amazing new creations with us! Click here for event details.

4/8 Saturday –  We’ll be pouring at both sessions of the 2017 Los Angeles Beer Fest. If you’re going please stop in at our booth and say hi!

4/9 Sunday –  It’s time for another Virtual Reality Demo Day! Our friend Karl will be bringing in his virtual reality gear for everyone to try out. Come grab a beer and explore strange new worlds all from the comfort of the tasting room. The VR fun starts around 2pm, so come early and get your name on the list to check it out.

The Return of SumNug IPA, Coconut Life, & RC Drifts and Drafts

3/30 ThursdayThe Return of SumNug IPA. This time it’s higher in ABV (8.8%) and more dank than ever. Come and try some while it’s ultra fresh! It’s also Aerospace Discount Night, so mention your employer to your bartender for a special discount.

3/31 Friday –  Celebrate the end of your work week with us.We have two brand new IPA’s on tap (Albino Koala White IPA and SumNug IPA) so come check them out. Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

4/1 Saturday –  We’re putting on a limited amount of Coconut Life, our Imperial Coconut Porter. Come and get it while you can, because only about 10 gallons will be on tap!  Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

4/2 Sunday –  It’s another RC Drifts and Drafts Sunday! Come on down and bring the whole family. Starting at 2pm we’ll have a mini race track set up and plenty of RC cars drifting about the back of the tasting room. Feel free to bring your RC car if you have one, or just come and watch the show. Kids love it too!

Albino Koala White IPA Release & Sunglasses at Night Randall

Happy first week of Spring! Join us in the tasting room this week for Wednesday trivia night with  Izzy’s Taco House, Sunglasses at Night Black IPA infused though a randall of Summit Hops on Friday, and the release of Albino Koala, a White IPA with eucalyptus on Saturday.

3/23 Thursday – Aerospace Discount Night. Mention your employer to your bartender for a special discount.

3/24 Friday –  We’ll be infusing our Black IPA Sunglasses at Night through a randall of whole Summit Hops to add an extra citrus, spicy, herbal kick. Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

3/25 Saturday –  The release of Albino Koala, a white IPA with eucalyptus & orange peel. This beer is a collaboration with our friend Charles Mumford who helped get us into homebrewing years ago. He’ll also be gracing us with his celebrity presence so if you see him make sure to wish him a happy birthday! Zodiac Grill Food Truck will also be in at 6pm.

3/26 Sunday –  Mystery Flight Day! Ask your beertender to pour you a flight of their choosing served in a random order. If you guess all 4 tasters correctly, your flight is only $1! A super fun and interesting way to spend your Sunday Funday getting to know beers you may not have thought of trying.

3/27 Monday – Open 4-11, come and spend your Monday evening in the tasting room. It’s also industry night, so ask your bartender for a special discount if you are in the food and beverage industry.
